Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error:. Bad PDF; could not read page structure. Please note that some pages of this document may have been changed.
Because of this failure, you are advised to not save these changes. I checked and ISO does not elaborate much on what this means. I can open the PDF in Acrobat just fine. I watched a support technician from Adobe login and with a shared screen, he was able to export the PDF to JPEG and then convert to a form which was my original request however the PDF text was jaggy looking and no longer selectable and email addresses in the text were no longer able to initiate a mailto link so it was a degraded PDF.
I have been creating PDF forms for years and just ran into this error message today. I will try to replace fonts and see if that is an issue embedded fonts that are not supported perhaps? I just tried to download a file and on my desktop it works its my wifes desktop.
I have been tasked with creating a template for resumes for a staffing service. Is it possible to design how I want this template to look in Illustrator and then create a PDF with fields for the staff to fill in to create the resume? The look of the resume is very important so this isn't just text. The documents will be a large part of the marketing. The company has employees on many platforms so I need something that is idiot proof and simple for them to drop their info into.
Yes, although InDesign might be a better choice for the layout of the document, and you can even create the fields directly there. Well, you add new fields using the addField method and you move existing fields by changing the value of their rect property. The problem there is that I don't have InDesign.
I had Pagemaker as long as it existed. The last time I upgraded I had to choose a package that didn't include InDesign. So, can I design it in Illustrator, take it into Acrobat and insert fields? Then can anyone with Reader fill it in or will they need the full blown program? Sadly, this should be simple but because of the company that I am working with, it just isn't.
I am creative, they are accountants. We don't speak the same language! Yes, you can do that. And people with Reader will be able to fill-in the file, but if they have a version prior to XI you'll need to first apply a specific right to it in Acrobat for them to be able to save the filled-in file. When you get to that stage post again and I'll explain how to do that.
I have a client who wants a form you can fill in digitally or by hand. We have a signed off design and I'm just in the process of making it editable.
The only issue is they wanted lines in the boxes for the people who fill it in by hand but now these lines right through the middle of the text if you fill it in digitally is there any way I can get the text to be double spaced to sort this? Hi I have created a form that I intend to email to my workforce for them to complete as job sheets. How do I protect them in such a way that the forms can be completed and emailed back to me but the original remains unchanged.
When I fill out a PDF form on my Macbook Air, all of the highlighted fields stay populated and the highlight disappears. When I look at the saved file on another Mac, like my iMac, the highlights are still there. If I click on them, the information becomes visible.
But, if I then click on the next highlighted field, that information appears but the previous information disappears. If I try printing this form, the only information that prints is any box that needed a checkmark.

Thank You. Please ensure you have Adobe Reasder installed on your computer, and then re-open using Adobe Reader. Sounds like Macintosh's Preview program has accessed this file at some time. Why not just use a white fill for fields completed on a computer? Yes, initially, Preview did have access to the file. How does that affect any downstream usage? Preview is a faulty application that corrupts PDF forms the moment it opens them.
You should avoid using it at all costs. I'll try again opening the form with Acrobat from the beginning. More Pages to Explore
